Things To Do
The clear waters of Lake Glenville sit cushioned between
mountains, forests, and pasture land. Spectacular
waterfalls flow into this ecologically-pure lake. Along its 26-mile
shoreline a world of outdoor recreation is celebrated. Swimming, sunbathing,
boating, and water skiing, offer inviting activities for visitors.
Fishermen eagerly head out for a day on the lake angling for small and
largemouth bass, walleye, trout, and bream. Daily and weekly boat
rental is available at Signal Ridge Marina on Lake Glenville.
Over fifty miles of golf course fairways are located within a twenty
mile radius of Cashiers (seven miles from Glenville), including Donald Ross,
Arnold Palmer, George Cobb, and Tom Fazio-championship designed courses.
Cashiers and Highlands are popular spots to shop, dine, and enjoy the outdoor cafes.
Additional recreational options include tennis, croquet, skeet,
trap, and sporting clays. Traditional mountain music, local theatre, and
outdoor festivals round out the entertainment fun.
